More amendments made to Nagaland GST Act

Dimapur, March 13 (EMN): The government has amended a number of items in the GST Act. Updates from the IPR on Wednesday stated the details.
The IPR stated: ‘In the first paragraph, after the sixth proviso, the following provisos shall be inserted, namely “Provided also that the return in Form GSTR-3B of the said rules for the month of January, 2019 shall be furnished electronically through the common portal, on or before the 22nd February, 2019.

Provided also that the return in Form GSTR-3B of the said rules for the month of January, 2019 for registered persons whose principal place of business is in the State of Jammu and Kashmir shall be furnished electronically through the common portal, on or before the 28th February 2019.’

Time limit extended for furnishing GST returns
Further, the commissioner of Taxes has extended the time limit for furnishing the returns by a registered person required to deduct tax at source, for the month of January 2019 till the 28th day of February 2019, the updates stated.
