Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley on Sunday inaugurated the Bandhan Bank.
The bank will start operations from today with 75 lakh savings bank account holders; 501 branches and a capital base of over Rs 3,000 crore.
Operations will begin in around 22 states.
"The target is to have 632 branches by the end of this fiscal," CS Ghosh, MD and CEO, Bandhan Bank, said.
